Let's get back to that weekly dinner

Here it is Thursday.
Time for something different.

This is a real simple dinner, quick (20 mins or less)
Here's what you'll need.
One package of Kielbasa sausage or any 'sausage' that you prefer.
One large bag, medium egg noodles (Of course, you can always make your own..we'll discuss that at another time)
Your choice of veggies
and butter.
Spices you'll need. Salt and pepper.
That's it..how easy huh?

Cut the sausage into 2-3 inch pieces, then cut each piece in half lengthwise. This seems to make it appear as 'more' then it is.
Get out a skillet that will hold it all and put a small amount of veggie oil in the bottom of the pan. Place meat cut side down and cook on medium heat till done. Turning as you go.
(I like to get mine a little 'crispy' sort of)

While the sausage is cooking, bring a large pot of salted water to boil. Cut about 1/2 stick of butter or margarine into 'pats'.
Choose your veggie and start that cooking as well.
When the water starts to boil, put the whole bag of noodles in. Stir for several minutes till the water comes back to a boil, then shut off and set the timer for 5-7 minutes.

Get out your strainer and set the table..dinner is almost done! BUZZZ..there's your time, time to check the noodles.
Test the noodles and make sure they are done 'firm'..or al dente', drain for a few minutes then transfer to a big big bowl. Add the patted butter and salt, and mix till the butter is melted. I usually end up 'tossing' the noodles with my hands. Yeah.it's hot, so be careful!

Drain your veggies, plate them along with the meat and serve dinner!
You will have plenty of noodles left over..put them in a container cuz they are tomorrow's dinner! YUM!
Of course, store any other leftovers as well.
That's it..how simple..how good. YUM!! join me later..we'll do Friday's dinner!
